Reporting a Concern
If you're worried about a child:
If you have a concern about a child or young person, you should contact their school as soon as possible, as they hold primary responsibility for safeguarding and child protection.
Our teams work closely with school safeguarding leads and will always:
-
Share concerns promptly with the school
-
Follow the school’s safeguarding procedures
-
Work in partnership with safeguarding professionals
If a child is in immediate danger, you should contact emergency services or your local authority safeguarding team.
If you have a concern about a member of staff:
We take any concern about the conduct or behaviour of staff extremely seriously.
If you are concerned about the behaviour of a member of staff, volunteer or contractor working with Think for the Future, it is important that this is reported promptly so that appropriate action can be taken.
Concerns may include behaviour that:
-
Is inappropriate in relation to a child or young person
-
Breaches professional boundaries
-
Does not meet expected standards of conduct
-
May pose a risk to the safety or wellbeing of a child
We are committed to ensuring that all concerns are:
-
Taken seriously and handled sensitively
-
Managed in line with safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance
-
Escalated appropriately, including to schools and relevant external agencies where required
If your concern relates to a member of staff, you can report this using the form below or call us on 0115 718 0399 to talk to an Organisational Designated Safeguarding Lead. If your concern relates to a member of staff within a school, you should report this directly to the school, or follow the school’s safeguarding procedures.
